In June 2011, the Project headed to Alley Springs, Missouri, where Scholars enjoyed stretching themselves mentally and physically in the great outdoors.

Days were spent canoeing, rafting, and kayaking on the Jacks Fork and Current Rivers, part of the Ozark National Scenic Riverway.

In the evenings, "Great Debates" were held, and the Scholars examined where morals and values come from, whether morals/values in the U.S. today are on the decline, and whether religion is a good thing.

After long days on the river and evenings spent debating, Scholars spent time playing games together before retiring to their tents.
